Topics covered: Sources of environmental contamination, lead hazard screen protocol, EBL investigations, interpreting sample results, interim controls and abatement options, how to perform a risk assessment, lead safe investigations, and preparation of the report. Important note: One person from each crew will need to complete this course for any renovations conducted in residential properties built prior to 1978. This course is the first course required prior to taking Lead Abatement training in Wisconsin. (This court offers DCQ CEU credits.)

1 day course. Topics covered: Dust sampling and soil sampling, paint chip sampling. Clearance procedures for "non-abatement" jobs and clearance levels. Required course prior to Lead Inspector and Lead Hazard Investigator.

3 day course. Topics covered: Occupant protection plans, inspection and risk assessment report interpretation, project management, legal and insurance. In virtually all situations, a lead supervisor is needed ON SITE for jobs that require certification. At least one lead supervisor is recommended for each company. Most companies have over 50% of their staff trained as lead supervisors. Lead Safe Renovator and Lead Abatement Work training are a prerequisite.
